The surfaceCONTROL product line was designed specifically for the inspection of diffusely reflecting surfaces, e.g. metallic surfaces (uncoated, electroplated, EPD), plastic surfaces and ceramics.
The sensor are based on the fringe projection principle. They scan the surface and generate detailed 3D point clouds. These point clouds can then be evaluated using various software programs.
The surfaceCONTROL DefMap3D software, specially developed for surface analysis, is available for detecting and evaluating the smallest defects and discontinuities in the surface. Geometric evaluations can be solved quickly and easily with 3DInspect.
In addition, the sensors can be easily integrated into all common 3D image processing packages. The surfaceCONTROL sensors have an easy-to-integrate SDK (Software Development Kit) for this purpose. Access to the sensor via GigE Vision is also possible without an SDK using GenICam-compliant software.
Sensors with different measurement areas and resolutions are available.
The surfaceCONTROL 3D 2500 3D sensor is used in 3D measurement of large objects for geometry, shape and surface inspection on diffuse reflecting surfaces. The sensor can be used in automated in-line or at-line inspection as well as in the measuring room. The sensor is characterized by its large measuring field and a high measuring range depth of up to 300 mm. Sensors with three different measuring ranges are available.
