INB Vision is part of a globally active group of companies that is a leader in the field of precision sensor technology. Our sensors are used wherever precision is the key to success.
Founded in 1996 as the Institute for Neurosimulation and Image Technologies at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, the original focus was primarily on the commercialisation and further development of research results in the fields of signal processing and medicine.
In 2000, the institute was transformed into INB Vision AG and the focus increasingly shifted to the field of 3D sensor technology and data analysis. The development of 3D sensors based on the principle of fringe light projection now began. The first projects for detecting and analysing surface defects on car body parts were carried out together with the automotive industry.
The integration into the Micro-Epsilon group of companies in 2010 opened up completely new opportunities for INB Vision. Since then, the focus has been on the development and sale of hardware and software for surface inspection systems.
At the end of 2022, the company was transformed into INB Vision GmbH. At the same time, a new application laboratory specialising in 2D/3D sensor technology was opened in Magdeburg together with Micro-Epsilon.
In 2025, our team currently consists of 14 employees and 1 dual student and 1 working student.
